  2. Hi Androgoth, Sometimes they humor us and allow themselves to be tricked! My male collie would sift out the good stuff like a baleen whale. They do make our lives so rich, and we get to laugh about it, too. Thanks so much for your comment!

  5. To behind-the-scenes commenter “James”: We appreciate your very strong stance in opposition to Rick Warren’s ecumenical thrust and against his “Global Peace Plan;” however, it has been the long-standing policy of this site and of its administration to disallow any comments or links which promote Lordship Salvation, Calvinism, Monergism, or the like.

  7. Your snow picture looks just like here in central Newfoundland today. We are getting our first "real" bit of snow today…looks like it may stay awhile too. The temperatures in the forecast are pretty low.I linked to your blog today for the Christmas Giveaway—-wish I was close enough to give you a sample of the few Christmas goodies that I've made so far. My mom has just had a major surgery, but she's doing well, so now I have to go on Fast Forward to get caught up and prepared for the holidays!Cheers

  8. Hmmm. There is a blotter calendar … each month is on one page, and when each month is up, you tear the page off to go to the next month, it’s larger than the 12 x 12, it can lay on top of a desk, but there are also holes in it to hang it on the wall. The 12 x 12 is a regular wall calendar; this one you turn the pages, you don’t tear them off. Hope this helps!

  10. water is a no brainer. The hard part is how? First, minimize the lawn. Lawns are notorious guzzlers of water. Rather than a monotonous carpet of Kentucky Bluegrass, true green
